Karen Major BA, RMTIyengar Yoga Teacher Training London Ontario

Eka Pada SirsasanaKaren's interest in body/mind work began with a degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and continued with her practice as a Massage Therapist in 1989.  Her yoga journey began over many years in several different styles of yoga, but it was when she came to the Iyengar Tradition, the depth of her practice truly flourished. Respect for the depth and thoroughness of the Iyengar Hatha Yoga Tradition led her to pursue this method, and she eventually trained as an Iyengar Yoga Teacher. She is a Canadian Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (Intermediate Junior 3) having trained at Yoga Centre Toronto, and continues to be inspired by international workshops given by leading Iyengar Teachers. Karen has studied with the Iyengars at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India in 2000, 2003, 2006 and 2009, as well as at the Canadian and British National Conferences. She continues to explore her interest in the philosophy of yoga and eastern traditions, as well as meditative practices that have come out of the Buddhist tradition. In 1997, Karen opened Yoga Centre London, bringing together a centre for health and well being........ where people can engage in rich traditions that support body, mind and spirit, and where you can discover your innate ability to bring balance and harmony into your life.
